Nov 16, 2022 - FASSelangor FC will face Terengganu FC at the MBPJ Stadium at 9 tonight for the 2022 TM Malaysia Cup Semi-Final match.
The Red Giants managed to qualify for the 2022 Malaysia Cup TM Semi-Finals after defeating Negeri Sembilan FC with a 4-2 aggregate result at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium recently. Read more about the match here.
For the record, tonight is the sixth match between the Red Giants and Sang Penyu team in the Malaysia Cup Semi-Finals.
According to Tan Cheng Hoe, Head Coach of Selangor FC, players need to do their job regardless of the opponent's situation.
"In this Semi-Final match, anything can happen and chances are open for any team to win the match.
I am also confident that all players from any team want to play in the Final of the 2022 TM Malaysia Cup. Whatever the opponent is going through is not an advantage for us. What is important is that our players already know their task ahead for this Semi-Final match," stressed Tan Cheng Hoe.
In terms of the availability of players for today's Malaysia Cup match, the Selangor FC team will be without Safuwan Baharudin who is still in the process of recovering from his 'mild traumatic brain injury', while Halim Saari is still in the process of fully recovering from his Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury (ACL).
In addition, Zahril Zabri will be unable to join the team due to the Meniscus injury he sufferd. Besides that, Harith Haiqal and Izwan Yuslan are down with fever for the past few days. Meanwhile, Yazan Al-Arab is on national duty with Jordan for the international friendly match against Spain.
Selangor FC wishes all the players to be in a state of readiness and hopefully will get a favorable result tonight to bring to Terengganu in the 2nd leg.
